Suport the protection of the community forest and the conservation of wildlife and medicinal plants forest  of Mondulkiri province.

How does tourism support Biodiversity Conservation ?

Tourism increasing the value of the Medicinal plants, wildfoods  forest resource to supporting the community in their strggle to protect  community forest and conservation of medicinal plants and wildfoods from the that forest. Tourism generate  income  base on the conservation of the medicinal plants and wildfoods forest resource.Coupling of the tourism with the sustainable harvesting , such as medicinal plants , wildfoods and honey is lead to the development of the sustainable of their livelihoods \.

Community
Dak Dam is an ehnic Bunong Community with a long history of living in those areas. The Dak Dam community forest is in the Dak Dam communce areas is bordering the Nam lae wildlife santury.
This forest preserves medicinal plants corridor between the three areas .


What is a community medicinal plants protected forest?      

A community forest is the which the community has traditionally used for collecting the herbal medicine, wildfoods, wildvegetables, and spriritual rites among other  things .

The tour programs

Ø  One morning  visit of the Medicinal plant garden and village culture,
Tours highlight
-       Visit medicinal plant garden and village culture of Bunong people
-       Introduction of the plants stories and see of the Bunong livelihood.
-       To see of the Bunong produce and weaving in the community and buy.
-       Travelling back to the hotel or guest house.

Ø  Home stay at the village in traditional house
Tours highlight
-       Home stay at the village for people who do trekking.
-       Learn about the Bunong language and listening of their song.
-       Get lunch dinner and breakfast at home stay during the days trek.

Ø  One day trekking

-       Leave from guest house to Dak Dam village.
-       Visit medicinal plant garden
-       Introduction of the plants stories by the community
-       To see of the bunong produce, weaving and their culture.
-       Have a lunch break and relax at the village with bunong people
-       Going to see the waterfall and see the forest of resource.
-       Trek back to the village on another way.
Ø  Two days / overnight trekking
Tours highlight
-        Leave from guest house to Dak Dam village.
-       Visit of Bunong village and of their culture.
-       Visit of medicinal plant garden and know of plants stories
-       Have a lunch break on middle ways
-       After lunch continues to the forest where sleep overnight.
-       Next day leave from forest to see the Bunong farm and lunch there.
-       After lunch back to the town and the end of trekking.

Welcome to Vanny's guide , here is  Romanea Muoy Waterfall is sited in Poutrou Village, Sèn Monorom Commune, Oreang District; 17 km away from the provincial town. It can be reached by path. There are more than 71 families living in the Romanea Muoy area of 28.37 ha, whose main occupations are farming. This resort is managed by the Romanea Muoy Waterfall Managerial and Developmental Inter-commune Commission vested by the provincial authority in collaboration with the provincial executive committee.
